La storia dell’Altro: Repubblica Democratica del Congo
Un incontro per approfondire le prospettive e i paradigmi attraverso cui studiosi di diverse discipline hanno cercato di interpretare le guerre africane contemporanee. Dall’approccio economicista, che pone l’accento sulla questione del traffico delle risorse naturali, a quello politologico, attento al problema del fallimento degli Stati, alla prospettiva antropologica, ovvero a una visione “dal basso”, che vuole cogliere il punto di vista degli attori coinvolti direttamente in questa guerra.
Durante il seminario si ripercorrerà la storia del Paese, la passata situazione coloniale e la dittatura di Mobutu, periodi caratterizzati da una violenza devastante e da un opportunismo senza scrupoli.
Infine, l’attenzione si sposterà sul Kivu, dove la competizione per la terra si intreccia alla questione della cittadinanza e alle brame espansionistiche del Ruanda e dell’Uganda. Tutto questo ha dato vita a una guerra continentale sul suolo congolese.
Relatore: Luca Jourdan, insegna Antropologia Culturale e Antropologia Politica all’Università di Bologna. Ha lavorato nell’ambito della cooperazione in Chad, Repubblica Centrafricana, Repubblica Democratica del Congo e Vietnam.
